Jerry Floyd Ocean was born Nov. 5, 1921 to Ellis Bernard and Oda Beatrice Voorhees Ocean. He died Oct. 17, 1945 and is buried in Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, IA.
Cpl. Ocean served in World War II with the U.S. Army and drowned in a river on Luzon, near Manila, Philippines.
