Carl Edmund Kaeferstein was born May 10, 1920 to Gustave William “William” and Bernadine Josephine Brass Kaeferstein. He died Feb. 10, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Kaeferstein served in World War II with the U.S. Army 129th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Division and was KIA on Luzon, Philippine Islands and awarded the Purple Heart.

Frank M. Karasek was born Feb. 8, 1919 to Martin R. and Rosy Karasek. He died Jan. 9, 1945 and is buried in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, IA.
Pvt. Karasek served in Word War II with the U.S. Army 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division and died in the service of his country.
