Reuben Henry Tegels was born Sept. 2, 1919 to Andrew J. and Laura M. Schultes Tegels. He died Apr. 19, 1945 and is buried in Zion Cemetery, Fonda, IA.
Sgt. Tegels served in World War II with the U.S. Army 411th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division and died as the result of a skull fracture incurred in a truck accident while in the service of his country.

Vincent served in World War II with the U.S. Army 290th Regiment, 75th Infantry Division and 1976th Quartermaster Truck Company (Aviation). He was at the Battle of the Bulge.
