Gale Benton Edgington was born Apr. 29, 1916 to William T. and Ruth Ann De Moss Edgington. He died Nov. 30, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Oakview Cemetery, Albia, IA.
Petty Officer Edgington served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the Pacific area in the performance of his duty and in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
