Donald Young King was born Jan. 8, 1920 to He died Nov. 2, 1943/FOD Jan. 15, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
2nd Lt. King served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 433rd Fighter Squadron, 475th Fighter Group and was MIA/KIA as the pilot of a P-38 fighter plane engaged in enemy action near Rabaul. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and Purple Heart.

Byron Anthony Kirk was born Aug. 6, 1919 to Thomas B. and Josephine Marie Barth Kirk. He died Nov. 1, 1943 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.
Capt. Kirk served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was MIA/KIA during landing operations on Bougainville.
