Charles W. Karban, Jr. was born Sept. 1, 1917 to Charles W. (Sr.) and Wauneta M. Karban. He died Jan. 20, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Karban served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 827th Bomber Squadron, 484th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD/KIA on a mission to Linz, Austria and awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
