Pvt. Geers served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 8th Regiment, 2nd Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Tinian.

George Edward Geltz was born Oct. 29, 1917 to Joseph Frederick and Pansy Harriet Ferguson Geltz. He died Nov. 30, 2009 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.
Sgt. Geltz served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
