Lyle James Maher was born Apr. 4, 1916 to James William and Helen Louise “Nellie" O’Brien Maher. He died July 7, 1943 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer, IA.
2nd Lt. Maher served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in a mid-air crash with another plane near Jenner Point, CA.

Sgt. Maurer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in the ground collision crash of B-26B Marauder #41-17781 near Jersey, GA.

Leonard D. Munger was born Jan. 20, 1921 to Warner G. and Neva May Baughman Munger. He died Aug. 9, 1942/FOD Aug. 10, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Munger served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Vincennes (CA-44) and was MIA/KIA/FOD when that vessel was sunk during the Battle of Savo Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
