Herschel Allen “Allen" Oehlert, Jr. was born Feb. 18, 1920 to Herschel Allen (Sr.) and Emily Cecile Baldwin Oehlert. He died July 6, 1943 and has a cenotaph in Woodburn Cemetery, Woodburn, IA. He was buried in March 1950, in a group burial with his comrades, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Lt. Oehlert served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps and was MIA/KIA when he failed to return from a mission over Greenwich Island in the Southwest Pacific during the battle of the Solomon Islands. He was awarded the Navy Cross.

Joe Donovan “JD” Oehlert was born July 20, 1921 to Herschel Allen (Sr.) and Emily Cecile Baldwin Oehlert. He died May 5, 2013 and is buried in Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.
Lt. Oehlert served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot and was awarded the American Theatre and Victory Ribbons.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps.

William “Bill” Oehlert was born Oct. 21, 1925 to Herschel Allen (Sr.) and Emily Cecile Baldwin Oehlert.
Bill was drafted in the fall of 1945 and served with the occupation forces in Japan as a Mortar Squad Leader in the 11th Airborne Division, returning to the states in Oct. 1947.

Herbert John Olson was born May 19, 1908 to Albert and Edith Olson. He died Nov. 28, 1958 and is buried in Murray Cemetery, Murray, IA.
Pvt. Olson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
