Tom Guest: Tom has been a member of the Ottumwa Bowling Associations for over 25 years. He has bowled in many leagues at Leo's Bowl ( on 2nd Street), Gibson Bowl, Champion Bowl in Ottumwa and Davis County Lane's in Bloomfield. In addition to being one Ottumwa's premier Junior bowlers, Tom has many accomplishments. His first 300 game was in 1974 @ Ft Dodge, Iowa while bowling in the CIBA tournament, Tom won four CIBA titles including the Tournament of Champions. AS a member of the PBA, Professional Bowling Association, 1973-1978, Tom was a finalist in tournaments many times. He won the PBA title at a regional tournament in Mitchell, SD in 1974. His average for these tournaments was 202 an exceptional average for twenty years ago. He was invited to and entered the PBA regional Tournament of Champions at Akron, OH, finishing in 8th place. In 1975 he bowled in the Megabucks American Dream Tournament with the finals being televised by ESPN. Toms highest Ottumwa season average 216 in the K C Mixed League, Highest Bloomfield season average 228 in the Bloomfield Trio, Highest scratch series 798, in Bloomfield. Jim Wilster: Jim started bowling in 1941 and was interrupted by World War II and the Korean War. Jim returned to bowling in 1960 and has been active ever since. Jim has been bowling in Ottumwa since 1973, has been the Secretary of the Pastime and Ottumwa Booster's league. He served as a member of the Board of Director's from 1982/1900 and was President of the Ottumwa Bowling Association in 1990/91, and is still active with the Board. Hall of Fame 1996. Jim has bowled many City, State, Legion and Senior tournaments. His high game is 280, Series 680 and Average 180. Cliff Ades: Cliff has bowled in many leagues, Twilight, Industrial, Elks, Mixed, Champion "55" Mixed and Sundowners. He served on the Board of Directors from 1980/88 and was president in 1988/89 season. Cliff has bowled in many state tournaments including Senior State, Legion state, Elks state, and Iowa state Champions in the 5th District Legion Mied Doubles in 1973, and 5th District Legion Singles champion. Cliff also bowled in many City Tournaments and was on many league championship teams including Elks Friday night team, Elks Sunday night team. Some of his high scores were 257, 245, 240. Maxine Bonnette: Maxine started bowling in the 1940's. She was a Certified bowling Instructor in the Junior Bowling Program at Gibson Bowl in 1963 and 1964, was City treasurer for 7 years from 1972 to 1979, served as Director for 5 years from 1969 to 1971 and from 1980 to 1981, served as Delegate to the State Meeting for 4 years 1974 to 1977. She was President of Business girls league from 1967 to 1969 and served on the Trophy Committee for the 1969 City Tournament and on to Prize Committee for the 1968 and 1969 City Tournament. Maxine won the doubles scratch in the 1958 City tournament and was one of the winners of the Morrell Duck Pin Tournament held at Red Crown Duck Pin Alleys. Maxine did not bowl in later years due to arthritis.
