Campbell, Floyd -

Floyd Campbell, a resident of the Creston Nursing & Rehab passed away July 9, 2003. Services

were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service in

Creston. Pastor Charles Spindler was in charge of the services. Visitation was 1-9 PM, Friday,

July 11, 2003 at Coen-Beaty-Pearson of Creston. Memorials were designated for the Creston

Congregate Meal Site and/or American Cancer Society.

He was born Sept. 6, 1911 in Washington Township, Adair County, IA, to Ora Julia (Scott)

and Orma Campbell. He graduated from Bridgewater H.S. with the class of 1930. On January

20, 1932 he married Cleo Irene Antisdel in Maryville, MO.

He was a farmer and he and Cleo farmed the family farm located on the Adams-Adair County

Line all of his life until he moved to Creston in October of 1980.

He and Cleo attended the First Christian Church in Bridgewater, IA and after moving to Creston

they attended the Crest Baptist Church in Creston.

He was preceded in death by this parents; his wife, Cleo in June of 2001; daughter: Connie Blazek,

Brother: Don Campbell & son-in-law Burton Blazek,; sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Virgil) Martin of Fontanelle;

Doris Gipple of Bridgewater & Violet Antisdel of Creston; many other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren:

Mark (Brenda) Blazek of Creston; Karen Blazek and Brandon McDowell of Denver, CO; great

granddaughters: Kiersten and Brenna; step-great grandchildren: Danielle, Ashleah and Coleton.

Cox, Rachel Candance Dukes -

Funeral services for Rachel Cox, age 89 of Bedford, who died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the Bedford Nursing & Rehab Center

were held Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ritchie Funeral Home with Pastor Ted DeHass officiating. Interment was

held at the Fairview Cemetery in Bedford. Memorials can be given in Rachel's name. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie

Funeral Home of Bedford.

Rachel Candacy Dukes Cox was born December 21, 1913, in Parnell, Missouri the daughter of Fred Lee Dukes and Ollie Myrtle

Auten Dukes. She grew up in the Hopkins and Sheridan, Missouri areas, graduating from the Athelstan High School. As was the

custom, for many young girls of the day, she lived in the home of a family, helping with household chores and taking care of the

young children while attending school. After graduation, Rachel continued to work as a housekeeper. She met Wm. Ober Cox and

the couple were united in marriage on February 7, 1934, at the Baptist Parsonage in Bedford. To this loving union three daughters

were born.

After their marriage, Rachel and Ober worked on a farm in the Lenox area and later in the Gravity area. They purchased their

own farm southwest of Bedford in 1948 where they remained until they retired from farming and moved into Bedford in 1977. In

1992, Ober and Rachel entered the Bedford Nursing & Rehab Center. That same year Ober passed away, and Rachel continued

to reside there until her death.

Rachel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford, belonged to various neighborhood clubs, and was active at church

activities and in church circles. Rachel was a true farmer's wife, embracing the lifestyle it provided her family. She enjoyed working

in her large garden, raising chickens and helping Ober in any way she could. Rachel loved cooking in her kitchen, where pies and

rolls were her specialty. When she first moved into town, Rachel had a difficult time adjusting to 'city life'.

Left to cherish Rachel's memory are her two daughters, Connie Standard and husband Roger of Fort Lupton, Colorado; and

Joyce Cox of Kansas City, Missouri; a son-in-law, Garry Rankin of Bedford; two brothers, Rex Dukes and wife Mary Lou of

Bedford; and Cleo Dukes and wife Mary Lou of Tarkio, Missouri; a sister, Eva Fine and husband John of Hopkins, Missouri; six

grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding Rachel in death were her parents; husband Ober in 1992; a daughter, Norma Rankin in 1983; two brothers, Fae Dukes

and Denzel Dukes; a sister, Clara Holker; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Crill, Merle Cooper -

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 14 at the Carl United Methodist Church for Merle Crill, 89, of Corning, Iowa.

Merle passed away on June 12, 2003 at the Corning Nursing and Rehab Center. Services were conducted by Pastor Fred Bryson,

and burial was at the Carl Cemetery. Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials can be paid to Carl United Methodist Church and/or American Cancer Society.

Merle was born on October 6, 1913 in Adams County near Carl, Iowa, to Irwin Prentiss Cooper and Nora Belle Chase.

She graduated from Corning High School with the class of 1931.

She married Sidney Crill on March 2, 1933 in Crete, Nebraska. To this marriage were two children, Donald Crill of Prescott,

Iowa and Richard Crill.

Merle taught country school for a few years until her marriage, she was then a homemaker. She was a member of the

Carl United Methodist Church; the U.M.W; the "Birthday Club," and was the last remaining member.

Survivor include: Son, Donald (Ruby June) Crill of Prescott, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by: Parents; husband, Sidney in 1986; son, Richard; brothers, Ralph and Orval Cooper; sister-in-law,

Helen and Cleone Cooper.

Grandchildren include: Jeff (Martha) Crill; Greg (Julie) Crill and Lori (Darwin) Shires.

Great-Grandchildren include: Brandyn, Clint, Chase, Megan, Bradley, and Brianne Crill; Heidi, Darci, and Joey Shires.

Great-Great-Granddaughter is Macey Crill; other relatives and many friends.

Elliott, Kristine Haley Jenee (Krissy) -

Kristina Haley Jenee "Krissy" Elliott, age 13, of Topeka, KS. died Monday, July 7, 2003 at the Children's Hospital in Kansas

City, KS. from complications arising from acute myeloid leukemia.

She was born July 1, 1990 in Topeka, the daughter of Dennis L. and Gwendolyn J. (Koether) Elliott.

She would have been an 8th grader at Shawnee Heights Middle School. She was a member of Decker 4H Club, where she

was the club secretary, played violin with the Suzuki Strings, was a member of Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, took dance

lessons at Center Stage Dance World, played soccer in the Sunflower League and was a member of the youth group at

Highland Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her parents; Dennis and Gwen Elliott, Topeka; her sister, Katie Elliott, Lawrence; her grandmother,

Eleanore Koether, Giard, IA; her uncle Greg Koether and wife (Kathy), Giard; her cousins, Scott, Kline and Kayla Koether.

Memorial services were held at the Highland Park United Methodist Church, Topeka. Memorial contributions can be made

to the Cancer Center at Children's Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Rd., Kansas City, MO., 64108, or to Highland Park United

Methodist Church Playground Fund, 2914 S.E. Michigan Ave., Topeka, 66605. Her father, Denny was a graduate of the Lenox

High School. He managed the local swimming pool in the summer.

Hancock, Donna Mae Frame -

Donna Mae Hancock went to be with her Lord & Savior on June 19, 2003.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 23,2003 at the United Methodist Church in Clearfield with Rev. Len Garrison and

Shari Stamps officiating Music was furnished by Erma Fuller and Kathy Nelson. Casketbearers were Chris Richardson, Steve

Stamps, Brian Rogers, John Hays, Gary Hays, and Kyle Frame. She was laid to rest in the North Fairview Cemetery, Lenox.

Wilson-Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donna was born to Floyd & Zelda (Monk) Frame on February 9, 1935. She attended country school and graduated from

Clearfield High School in 1953. On February 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold J. Hancock. They made their home

in Taylor County and moved to their present farm in 1965 and built a new home in 1969.

Donna was a homemaker and helped Harold on the farm; she also read meters for REC for several years, sold Avon and worked

at the Lenox Post Office for a short time. She also was a 4-H leader. She was a talented cake decorator and made several

wedding cakes. In her spare time she enjoyed making a variety of crafts. When she was no longer able to do this; she loved to watch

craft shows on TV. Donna's constant companion was her little dog "Pooh", whose favorite spot was always the one next to Donna.

Harold and Donna also enjoyed camping and traveling. They have been to several states, including Alaska and visited

Switzerland. In 1995 they started going South for the winter, mostly in Texas and made many new friends.

Donna felt dearly blessed by her five children; Debra Richardson of Gretna, NE., Danny and wife Connie of Lenox, Denny of Lenox

and friend Susie of Creston, Doyle and wife Marcy of Clearfield and Darin and wife Jennifer of Union, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zelda in 1981 and Floyd in 2000; one niece and two nephews.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Harold, and their five children; ten grand children, Chris, son of Debra;

Brandi, Nathan and Kari, children of Danny and Connie; Josh, son of Denny; Leah, Austin, and Jordan, children of Doyle and Marcy;

Isaac and Brenden, sons of Darin and Jennifer; three brothers, Floyd, Jr. (wife Gloria) of Fort Collins, CO., Marvin (wife

There will be an interment service for William C. (Bill) Harover at 4:00 p.m. July 12,

in the West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. The Reverend Jerrold Swinton will give a

Following the service, there will be a time for the family to meet friends at the

pavilion in the City Park. In case of inclement weather, the reception will be held in the

Lenox United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Hixson, Mary Cecelia Thibodeaux -

Mary Cecelia Hixson was born on May 17, 1920 to Thomas Stewart and Mary Louise (Melon) Thibodeaux in Vicksburg, Miss.

In 1934 the family moved to St. Joseph where she attended Cathedral Elementary School and later graduated from the

Convent of the Sacred Heart.

On August 10, 1940 she was united in marriage to Eldon Hixson. After their marriage they lived in Columbia, MO. After

Eldon's military service and further education the family moved to Lenox, IA. In 1960 they returned to Gower where they

made their home. Eldon and Mary owned and operated the Hixson Funeral Home in Gower and Edgerton until 1977 when they

retired.

Mary was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Plattsburg, the American Legion Auxiliary and the MFDA. She

enjoyed playing cards, golfing and a good joke. Mary treasured her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Mary is survived by her husband, Eldon, of the home, one son, John Hixson and wife, Fran, St. Louis, MO., three daughters,

Patricia Wright and husband, Dennis, Mission Hills, KS., Martha Holmes and husband, Frank, Birmingham, AL, and Helen

Reynolds and husband, Jim, Blue Springs, MO., ten grandchildren, Tim Hixson and wife, Stephanie, Tina Hixson, Wendy and Adam

Wright, Katie, Becky and Jay Holmes, and Gallic, Rex, and Erin Reynolds, one sister, Marguerite Judd and husband, Melvin,

Sacramento, CA., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services were held on July 28, 2003 at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower MO. with burial in the Gower Cemetery,

Gower, MO.

During their years in Lenox; Eldon was an employee of the Bender family working in their funeral home and hardware store.

Eldon and Mary and their children were faithful Lenox residents and continued to keep their connections with the many

friends they had in Lenox.

Steve Kannas of Corning, IA passed away at his home on July 30, 2003.

Dr. Jeanne Groom of the Corning Christian Church officiated with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Corning, IA.

Steve was born May 28, 1954 in Watertown, SD. to Leroy Charles and Estella Vivian (Redemske) Kannas. He graduated

from the Corning High School in 1972. On December 29, 1973 he was united in marriage to Kaye Ellen Cook at the Redeemer

Lutheran Church in Corning, IA.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye of Corning, 1A and his parents; Leroy (Faye) Kannas, Harlan, IA. Children: Nathan (Sarah)

Kannas, Norwich, CT.; Clayton (Kristin) Kannas, Corning, IA. Brother: Brian (Mary) Kannas, Corning, IA. Sisters: Connie

(Rob) Marxen, Creston, IA and Lisa (John) Wolfe, Creston, IA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Kannas,

mother and father-in-law, Ned C. Cook and Estrelia Cook, brother-in-law, Delfin H. Cook and his maternal and paternal

grandparents.

He had owned and operated "Best Auto" parts store in Corning since 1977. He also owned and operated stores in

Clarinda, Lenox and Anita.

He was a member of the Corning Volunteer Fire Dept., a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Corning, IA.

He served on the Boards of several business organizations including: Cornbelt Automotive Warehouse; AWDI (Automotive

Warehouse Distributors Incorporated.

Lemon, Dewey Arthur -

Funeral services for Art Lemon, age 78, of Lenox, formerly of Des Moines, who died Monday, July 14, 2003, at the Greater

Community Hospital in Creston were held Thursday, July 17, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Lenox Christian Church with Pastor George

Mullins officiating. Interment was held in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Memorials can be directed to the Green Valley

Hospice or the Lenox Christian Church. Arrangements were by Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Dewey Arthur Lemon, was born August 21, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Dewey Arthur Lemon and Pearl Myers Lemon.

Art was raised in the Des Moines area graduating from East High School in 1942. After graduation, he entered the United

States Air Force, attending flight school in Texas. In 1945, he was united in marriage to Janice Murphy; she passed away in

1946 from heart problems. To this union a daughter Laura was born. He married Kathryn Ann Smith in 1948 and to this union

four children were born, Donna, Lisa, Paul and Gregory.

Upon his discharge, he worked for a few years before enrolling at the University of Tulsa, graduating in 1953 with an Aerospace

Engineering degree. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota, graduating with an advanced degree. He worked for

several years at various Aero Space companies in the United States and overseas, retiring in 1989. Upon his retirement, he

returned to the Des Moines area. His wife Kathryn passed away in 1991 and in 1993, he was united in marriage to Margery (Ward)

Carruthers in Des Moines. In 2001, he and Margery moved to Lenox.

Art enjoyed traveling to see family and sights. He enjoyed playing cards and other games, and was quite good at all of them.

Art also enjoyed bowling and when he played a game, he played to win! He enjoyed the outdoors and would spend time in

Minnesota fishing as often as he could. He loved being around people. He enjoyed his retirement years, and the lifestyle it

provided. He especially enjoyed watching professional football, with the Rams being his favorite team.

Left to cherish Art's memory are his wife Margery of Lenox; four children, Laura Hamilton and husband Mark of Ames; Donna

Page of Antioch, California; Lisa Hatchett and husband Rod of Tyler, Texas; and Gregory Lemon and wife Jennifer of Des

Moines; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Lemon of Des Moines; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews

and Margery's family.

Preceding Art in death are his parents, Dewey and Pearl; two wives, Janice and Kathryn; a son Paul at four years of age in 1959;

Neuhardt, Leila -

Leila Neuhardt, 68, of Afton died June 23, 2003, at the Afton Care Center. Graveside services were

Wednesday, June 25, at West Fairview Cemetery at Lenox. The Rev. Leonard Kenkel will officiated The Powers Funeral

Home, 601 New York Ave., Creston, was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Neuhardt, daughter of Ruth (Hayes) and Clyde "Joe" Neuhardt, was born February 2, 1935. She attended

rural school in Adams County.

She worked briefly at Innovative Industries and lived in the Adams County group home before moving to Afton

Care Center 13 years ago.

Survivors include her stepmother, Mable Neuhardt of Lenox; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Neuhardt in 1999.

Nutting, John Gabriel -

lowans have perhaps become accustomed to hearing news of bizarre crimes from faraway places such as the West Coast. One

such incident in Irvine, Calif., claimed the life of a man who was once a regular summer visitor to the Lenox area.

To even those who did not know John Nutting, the story of his death may trouble the soul.

John was an uncle to Linda Woolley and Jan Beach-Sickels, both of Lenox. He wasn't even supposed to be working at

Albertson's on that fateful day of Sunday, June 29. That was the day that Albertson's employee Joseph Parker entered

the doors of the store and begin wielding a large samurai-style sword. One result was a large headline in the

Orange County Register: "Troubled worker kills 2 at Irvine market." John Nutting was one of those two.

Nutting worked in the meat and deli department at Albertson's, where he had been employed since the 1960's. Mrs.

Woolley reported that he had retirement plans in the near future. Another fatality on that day was Parker, who was described

in the Orange County Register as mentally disturbed and battled schizophrenia-induced demons. Parker was shot and killed by

police who responded to the incident. The Register reported that Parker collected swords due to his fascination with the

television series "Highlander," which involves an "immortal who is locked in combat with an evil enemy.

John Nutting and his wife, Sharon McLaury Nutting, often visited the Lenox area to visit Sharon's mother, the late Ruth

McLaury of Lenox. Sharon's sisters include the late Patricia Beach of Lenox along with Florida residents Marilyn and Beverly. Their

mother Ruth passed away in 1997.

During visits to this area, Sharon and John became familiar with and developed friendships with a number of Lenox residents

and business people. The work location in Irvine wasn't even his normal one. He was filling in for a fellow Albertson's employee

who wanted to attend church services. John normally worked full-time at the Albertson's at Newport Beach. The Register

article stated, "He was that kind of a guy."

He, along with 55-year-old Albertson's employee Judy Fleming, was killed when Parker approached the back of the store

and began his sword antics. Three other stab victims were treated for relatively minor injuries.

Survivors include three daughters, two sons, and nine grandchildren. A full obituary for John putting is inside this edition.

John Gabriel Nutting passed away June 29, 2003, in Irvine, Calif., as a result of a criminal act in an Albertson's store.

Survivors include nieces Linda Woolley and Jan Bryant-Sickels, both of Lenox.

John was born, September 13, 1943 in Denver, CO. to Jack Nutting and Kathy Vigil. Soon after, his father was killed in the

war. He was then raised by his grandparents and an aunt and uncle. His mother also passed away when John was a young man.

John overcame what to some would seem to be a sad and difficult childhood, to become a remarkable man with a great sense

of humor. He enjoyed growing up with his cousins who he considered his brothers and sisters and was proud of his Spanish

heritage.

John was blessed with two wonderful sons, John Jr. and Jesse, from his first marriage. John then met and married Sharon and

became the loving father to her three daughters, Sheri, Stacy and Shelby. John told the story countless times of how he and

Sharon met when he worked at the now closed Lucky's in Huntington Beach, CA. During their marriage six grandchildren, Lindie,

John, Jenea, Ryan, Cooper and Skylar were born. Later, three more children, Chris, Zachary and Brandon were added to his

family. He loved all of his children and grandchildren and bragged about them endlessly.

John enjoyed many sports and had numerous hobbies, some of which included Antique collecting and restoring "old" bicycles,

motorcycles, an unfinished 1946 Chevy and many more things too numerous to mention. When told of his death, a five year old

neighbor child said, "What's going to happen to all of John's inventions"? He loved to show the neighbor children, or anyone

who passed by, his latest project and the many Desert Tortoise's that he raised.

John liked making things from wood; he made many craft projects for his family and friends. Sadly the latest project, a shelf

for his kitchen, was incomplete but was to be finished last Sunday.

His latest interest was remote control car racing and he spent many hours together with his grandson Ryan trying to master

this hobby. A large number of racing buddies are on his list of friends.

John was looking forward to retirement and spending more time with his family. His son-in-law, Jim, said that John had 100

years of endless unfinished garage projects.

Sharon will miss the gentle rub of her foot as John walked by the bed each morning on his way to work, and the quiet whistle

she heard when he came in the door each night. He was and will always be the love of her life.

John's family and friends feel cheated that his life was so unjustly and unfairly taken from them. Their hearts are broken and

they will forever miss his kindness, forgiving personality and great sense of humor.

And finally, if you should see a penny on the ground, please stop and pick it up and say "hi". John firmly believed that it's a

message from Heaven!

Pfander, Cloyd William -

Funeral services for Cloyd W. Pfander, age 103 of Bedford, who died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Bedford Nursing and Rehab

Center were held Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ritchie Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Maxa officiating. Interment

was held in the Washington Cemetery in Gravity. Memorials can be directed to the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department or the

Bedford Ambulance Service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Bedford.

Cloyd William Pfander was born July 21, 1899, in Page County, Iowa the son of William Henry Pfander and Olpha Eleanor Cree

Pfander. When Cloyd was three, the family moved to a farm near Sharpsburg where he attended rural school. On

November 4, 1922, he was united in marriage with Neva Whipple. To this loving union seven children were born.

The couple lived in the Sharpsburg and Gravity communities where they farmed and raised livestock. Cloyd farmed

for much of his life when farming was more difficult than it is today, but it was a lifestyle he embraced. He farmed nearly 200

acres with horses until the mid 1940's when he got his first tractor, a Case.

Education was important to Cloyd and Neva and they made sure all of their kids graduated from high school. They were also

very active in supporting their children's school activities.

In 1976, the couple moved to Bedford. They celebrated their 50th, 60th and 65th Wedding Anniversaries before Neva's

death in 1988. Although retired, Cloyd kept active. He even mowed his yard on his 100th birthday.

He was a long-time member of the Sharpsburg Presbyterian Church and had been a school board member of Marshall County

School No. 4. On July 8, 2003, Cloyd passed away, at the Bedford Nursing and Rehab Center where he lived since December of

2002, just 13 days short of his 104th birthday.

Left to cherish Cloyd's memory are his seven children, Lorna Hall and husband Richard of Long Beach, California; Horace

Pfander and wife Betty of Bedford; Maxine Bates and husband Richard of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Melvin  Pfander of

Sharpsburg; Betty Robertson and husband Joe of Belton, Missouri; Berneice Allen and husband Gerald of St. Joseph, Missouri;

and Eloise Cunningham and husband Gary; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson;

a large number of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Preceding Cloyd in death are his parents, his wife Neva, a grandson Steve Pfander and a great-grandson David Jordan.

Esther Rynor, 90, died July 20,, 2003 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines, IA. Services were held July 25, at

the Waukee United Methodist Church with burial at Clio Cemetery.

Esther was born in Mercer, MO., Following her marriage to Claire Rynor of Clio, they farmed together near Gravity, IA. They

then moved to the Des Moines area in 1958. She retired from Preferred Risk, was a member of the Waukee United Methodist

Church and the Rebecca Lodge.

She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law; Beverly and David Apel of Queensland, Australia, Connie and Bob Gould

of St. Charles, Carren and Gordon Sturm of Ankeny, Jean and Jerry Beemer of Lenox and Judy and Bill Fleming of Mayflower,

AR; two sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Marge Rynor of Woodstock, GA and Larry and Elaine Rynor of Quinlan, TX;

sister, Lela Bright of Lineville; sister-in-law, Lois Bright of West Des Moines; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She

was preceded in death by her husband, Claire William Rynor.

Faith, Life, Love and Laughter are the threads of a precious tapestry Esther wove for her family and friends. All who knew her

will forever carry the warmth of her memory in their hearts.

Welch, Eugene -

Funeral services were held on June 21, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Home in Lenox for

Eugene "Gene" Welch. Eugene passed away on June 17, 2003 at the age of 58 at Taylor Ridge Estates in Lenox.

Pastor Roy Cook officiated at the service. Memorials can be made to Taylor Ridge Estates.

Eugene was born on July 6, 1944 in Des Moines, to Harold D. Welch and Lena Martha Harden. He graduated from Lenox High

School in 1963. Eugene has one sister, Twila Shepherd Turner of Omaha, NE.

Eugene worked at Nodaway Valley Foods for a few years, and later worked as a security guard at the Iowa State Fair from 1964-

1967. He farmed with his father and worked for Delmar Hardisty at Feeders Grain. He was a member of the Stringtown Community

Church, and both the Lenox and Nodaway Masonic Lodges.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Don Shepherd.

Survivors include: Special friend Chris Ray of Taylor Ridge Estates; niece Terri Haley, Omaha, NE; nephew Rick Shepherd,

Omaha, NE; cousins Bernie Lacey and Gweylynn (Keith) Wambold, and special friends Merlin and Carolyn Dixon of Corning.
