Services Tuesday For Marion Neal
Funeral services for Marion Neal, 1016 East First Street, who died at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, were held at the Price funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. D. Franklin Kohl, pastor of the First Christian Church. Graveside services and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Born July 5, 1870, in Bellmore, Ind., son of the late Lewis and Nancy Webb Neal, Mr. Neal came with his parents to Missouri when he was four years old. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Daisy [?] Wood, Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. Marie Shafer, [word missing] , 12 [?] grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two brothers, George W. Neal, Oklahoma City, J. Final Rites Held For Marion Neal
Funeral services for Marion Neal of Maryville, who died Saturday, were held Tuesday at the Price funeral home. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. D. Franklin Kohl, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated.
Music was provided by Charles Fakes, Sanford Jones, Mrs. Lowell Gray and Mrs. Howard Null, accompanied by Mrs. Alva Lett, Sr., who sang "Beautiful Isle," "No Tears in Paradise" and "The Last Mile of the Way."
Pallbearers were Lester Hollensbe, Floyd Bailey, Russell Baer, H. B. Cushman, Emmett Byengo and J. J. Miller.
Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Russell Baer, Mrs. Edison Hanna, Mrs. Lester Hollensbe and Mrs. Richard Collins.

Funeral Services Tuesday For Albert Hinton
Funeral services for Albert Hinton, 83, Pickering, who died at 6:20 o'clock Sunday morning at his home, after an illness of three months, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Price funeral home. The Rev. Elmer Evans will conduct the services and burial will be in the White Oak cemetery, Pickering.
Pickering friends who have no way of transportation to Maryville are asked to meet at the Pickering drug store where transportation will be furnished.
Born Aug. 12, 1871, at Pickering, Mr. Hinton was married Nov. 21, 1892 to Sarah Hewitt, who survives. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Pickering for 22 years.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Besides his wife, Mr. Hinton is survived by one son, Roy Hinton; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Anderson; two brothers, Frank and Charles Hinton, all of Pickering, four sisters, Mrs. Addie Neil and Miss Blanche Hinton, both of Maryville; Mrs. Sarah Hellier, Magna, Utah; and Mrs. Charles Taylor, Hopkins.

Funeral Services Tuesday For Albert Hinton
Funeral services for Albert Hinton, Pickering, who died Sunday at his home, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Price funeral chapel. The Rev. Elmer Evans conducted the services and burial was in the White Oak cemetery.
The songs, "Beyond The Sunset" and "When I Shall Fall Asleep," were sung by John Hood, who was accompanied by Mrs. J. W. Hake.
Pallbearers were Forrest Dean Hinton, William A. Linebaugh, Lane Ulmer, Loren C. Hackett, Charles Birkenholz and Claude Cline. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Walter Runnels, Mrs. Charles Hinton, Mrs. Lane Ulmer, Mrs. Forrest Dean Hinton, Mrs. William A. Linebaugh and Mrs. William A. Locke.

Charles Oscar Pistole Dies At St. Francis Hospital
Charles Oscar Pistole, 84, 211 North Vine Street, died at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the St. Francis hospital, where he was a patient for 24 hours. He had been ill for six weeks.
A retired farmer, Mr. Pistole was born March 19, 1870, on a farm east of Pickering and had lived his entire life in Nodaway County. He had lived for four years in the home on North Vine Street. He was married Feb. 3, 1897 in Pickering to Emma Allen, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Augustine, Maryville; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. John Morris, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Price funeral home and burial will be in Pickering.

Final rites for Charles O. [scar] Pistole, Maryville, who died Thursday at St. Francis hospital, were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Price funeral chapel by the Rev. Delbert Dick. Burial was in the White Oak cemetery, Pickering.
"Going Down the Valley" and "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" were sung by John and Donnis Hood, accompanied by Mrs. J. W. Hake.
Pallbearers were Leslie, Eldon and Russell Morris, Olin, Alva and Lewis Pistole. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Wayne White, Mrs. Gerald Harris, Mrs. Albert Steele and Miss Annice Pistole.

Mrs. Ethel Elliott, Graham, left Sunday for Dayton, Ohio, to attend funeral services for her sister, Mrs. Anna Cleveland, who died after being an invalid for three and one-half years.

Dr. C. W. Kirk Leaves For San Antonio, Texas
Dr. C. [harles] W. Kirk, Hopkins, left this morning for San Antonio, Tex., called there by the death of his half-brother, Lt. Col. Orlo Quinn, 61, who died Monday in Brooks Hospital, Ft. Sam Houston. He had been ill for 18 months. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning in San Antonio and burial will be in the National Cemetery, Ft. Sam Houston.
Lt. Col. Quinn, retired, was reared in Maryville, attended the Maryville schools, and in 1917, entered the aviation services in the Army. Besides Dr. Kirk, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ora Center, Woodland, Calif.

William Hinton Died Saturday
William Eli Hinton, age 78, of Pickering, died at 3:20 p. m., Saturday, at the St. Francis Hospital. He had been ill for a month. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Pickering Methodist church of which he was a member, and burial will be in the White Oak cemetery.
Born May 31, 1873 near Pickering, Mr. Hinton was married Aug. 28, 1896, to Ida Lee, who survives. Other survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Wayne Sharr of El Monte, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Addie M. [ay] Neil, Gainesville, Fla.; Mrs. Arthur Hellier [Sarah], Magna, Utah; Miss M. [abel] Blanche Hinton, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Charles Taylor, Hopkins, and three brothers, Albert, Frank and Charles Hinton, all of Pickering.

W. E. Hinton Services Held At Pickering
Funeral services for William E. [li] Hinton of Pickering, who died June 2 at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, were held at 2 p. m. yesterday at the Methodist church in Pickering, conducted by the Rev. W. H. Allen. Burial was in the While Oak cemetery.
Special music was presented by John and Dennis Hood, and flowers were in charge of Mrs. Loren Hackett, Mrs. Loren Loch, Miss Dorothy Berkey, Mrs. Harold Crane, Mrs. Forest Hinton and Mrs. William Llinebaugh. Pallbearers were Maurice Loch, Loren Hackett, Claude Cline, William Linebaugh, Loren Loch and Leland Nicholas.
Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife; four sisters and three brothers. A niece, Mrs. Wayne Sharr of El Monte, Calif., made her home for a number of years with Mr. and Mrs. Hinton, but is not a foster daughter. One son, William Floyd, died in infancy.
For more than 60 years, Mr. Hinton had been a prominent citizen and successful farmer of the Pickering community. He was one of the leaders in the organization of the first 102 River Drainage District in Nodaway County. He also served on the board of directors of the Drainage District for a number of years and was treasurer at the time the Corporation was dissolved, and one of the proud achievements of his life was that he could be instrumental in seeing that the surplus funds of the District were rebated to the Drainage District taxpayers. He helped organize the Farm Bureau in this county after World War I and remained an enthusiastic member of the organization until his death.
Mr. Hinton was a member and loyal supporter of the Methodist church of Pickering.

Funeral Services For Pickering Woman Held Thursday Afternoon
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Price funeral home for Mrs. Mary A. [nn Alexander] Neal of Pickering, who died August 21 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stewart Robinson [Gertie Mae] of Hemet, Calif. Burial was in White Oak cemetery, near Pickering. The Rev. Delbert Dick officiated.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Orlo Lincoln of Pickering, accompanied by Miss Lois Lincoln, who sang "Sunrise Tomorrow" and "Some Golden Daybreak."
Pallbearers were Lauren Runnels, Jesse Miller, James Ware, Harry Sumy, Ed Shreve and Rev. Dick.
Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Leslie Hanna, Mrs. John McGuire, Mrs. Walter Runnels and Mrs. Ed Shreve.

James L. Neal, Pickering Farmer, Dies At Age of 82
James L. [ouden] Neal, 82-year-old retired farmer, died at 7 o'clock last night at his home at Pickering following an illness of one day. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born April 25, 1863, in Nodaway County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neal [Charlotte Frazee]. Mr. Neal, who had resided at Pickering sixty-one years, had lived at the present residence fifty-five years. On August 30, 1884, he was married at Maryville to Miss Mary Alexander. Mr. Neal was a member of the Masonic lodge and Order of the Eastern Star of Pickering.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, [James] Ervin Neal, Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. D. [aniel] S. [tewart] Robinson [Gertie Mae], Hemet, Calif., and James L. Clayton [Cloe Annice], Escondido, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two daughters preceded him in death.
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery at Pickering, but other funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mrs. Sharr, 91, Dies
Mrs. William Sharr, 91 years of age, long time resident of Nodaway County, died late Sunday night at her home three and one-half miles southeast of Pickering, following an illness of several years. She had been bedfast eight months.
Mrs. Sharr, who was Miss Rebecca [Kessiah] Burch, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Burch [Keziah Bland] before her marriage, was born September 18, 1851 at Bloomfield, Ind. She was married August 22, 1872, at Bloomfield, Ind., to William [Ulray] Sharr, and soon after their marriage they accompanied Mrs. Sharr's brother, Joseph Sharr, to Texas, making the trip with an ox team.
After two years residence, they returned to their home in Indiana and 12 years later moved to a farm near Quitman, where they lived about two years, later moving to the Gaynor vicinity to live for ten years. In 1891 they purchased the farm on which they now reside and have lived there fifty-one years. Mrs. Sharr became a member of the West Union church, Primitive Baptist, on June 30, 1886.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, F. [rancis] M. [arion] Sharr, Wilmington, Calif.; Lee Sharr, Republic, Mo.; [John] Austin Sharr, Maryville, and Ira [Manford] Sharr, Huntington Park, Calif., four daughters, Mrs. Emily Partridge, Bedford, Mrs. Mary Hollensbe and Mrs. Ethel Treese, Pickering, and Mrs. Eva Latimer, Des Moines, Ia., fifty grandchildren and forty-five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Orrsburg church with Rev. Barnes of Kansas City officiating. Burial will be in the Orrsburg cemetery.

Isaac A. Treese Dies; Funeral Service Wednesday
Isaac Ansel Treese, 67, retired farmer of Ravenwood, died at 5:50 p. m. Sunday at his home. He had been ill for several years.
Born Nov. 1, 1885, near Ravenwood, Mr. Treese was married Dec. 24, 1906 in Ravenwood to Kessiah Ethel Sharr, who survives. He was a member of the Baptist church, Orrsburg. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Irvin and Bernard Treese, Ravenwood; Eugene Treese, Hopkins; and Donald Treese, Pickering; four daughters, Mrs. Marvin Collins [Verna], Skidmore; Miss Reva Treese, of the home; Mrs. Irvin Thompson, Hopkins; and Mrs. Eldon Staten, Ravenwood; 31 grandchildren; five brothers, Raymond Treese, Shenandoah; Crystal, Pickering; Dorsey, Asa and William, all Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Ira Sharr [Elsie Lorene], Clearmont; Mrs. Joe Correnti [Bertha] and Mrs. Thomas McKee [Savilla], both of Kansas City; and Mrs. Elmer Smith [Hattie], Tucumcari, N. M.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Orrsburg church, Elder Paul Brown, Kansas City, assisted by Elder Cecil Judd, Pickering, will have charge of the service, and burial in the Orrsburg cemetery will be in charge of the Price funeral directors.

Funeral Services Wednesday For Isaac A. Treese
Funeral services for Isaac A. [nsel] Treese, Ravenwood, who died Sunday, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Orrsburg and burial was in the Orrsburg cemetery.
The services were conducted by Elder Paul Brown, Kansas City, assisted by Elder Cecil Judd, Pickering.
Mr. and Mrs. Drexel Gray and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Judd sang "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone," "Face to Face" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."
Pallbearers were William Walker, Burton Wilson, Harold Treese, Charles Treese and Jackie and Ronald Collins.
Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Joan Walker, Mrs. Betty Wilson, Miss Reva Treese, Mrs. Irene Stuart, and the Misses Bernita Treese, Alice Collins, Frances Masoner, Mary Stoner and Corda Lambley.

Frank Treese Found Dead In Bed In San Francisco
[George] Frank Treese, a former Maryville resident, died Wednesday night of a heart ailment at his home in San Francisco, Calif. He may have died in bed Tuesday morning.
According to the Price funeral home, the body will be brought to Maryville for burial.
Mr. Treese was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George [Washington] Treese [Nancy Jane Judd] of Maryville. About 16 years ago he left Maryville for California where he had been employed by a bank.
Survivors are six brothers, I. [saac] A. [nsel], Dorsey, and Crystal Treese, Pickering; Raymond Treese, Shenandoah, Ia.; Willie and Asa Treese, Kansas City, and four sisters, Mrs. Ira Sharr [Elsie Lorene], Pickering; Mrs. Joe Correnti [Bertha], Kansas City; Mrs. Elmer Smith [Hattie], Tucumcari, N. M., and Mrs. Tom McKee [Savilla May], Maryville.

Mrs. Walter Crenshaw Dies; Lived At Parnell
Mrs. Walter Crenshaw of Parnell died at 9:10 o'clock this morning at the St. Francis Hospital where she had been a patient since Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Crenshaw was born January 21, 1892, as Mary Ellen Treese, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Treese of Ravenwood. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Mrs. Helen Burns, Parnell; Mrs. Althie Hibbs, Sheridan; Alva Crenshaw of the state of Wyoming, and Curtis Lee Crenshaw of Parnell.
Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Crenshaw Services Held Today At Parnell Church
Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Walter Crenshaw in the Parnell Methodist church with the Rev. C. C. Pritchard officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. C. Neighbors. Mrs. Crenshaw died Saturday morning at St. Francis hospital. She was a member of the Christian church.
Pallbearers wee Leslie New, Earl New, Delois Collins, Eddie Davis, Herbert Dean Treese and Ervin Treese.
Those in charge of the flowers were the Misses Vivian and Vera Auten, Patty Chapman and Betty Treese.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Orlo Beatty, Mrs. Paul Long, Wallace Kennedy and Charles Evans. They sang "Rock of Ages," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "There'll Be a Home Over There."
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Parnell.
