East half of Page County, Iowa To understand the area around New Market, you need to look at this map of Page County. In the northeast corner of East River township, you will see Dayton and Memory. The county lines jog west at this point and the Main Street shared by Dayton and Memory was the county line. Memory was in Taylor County and Dayton was in Page County. The Memory Cemetery is just south of where Dayton is marked and I have put a black rectangle where the cemetery is in section 1. If you then look at the map of Taylor County, you will see that there is no cemetery in Mason township. Memory Cemetery was the cemetery used by Mason township, Taylor County, Iowa.
