Fannie L. Carter and Ira P. MarshAt the home of Mr. Samuel Carter south of Westfield, there was assembled on Wednesday evening a company of delighted friends to witness the marriage to Miss Fannie L. Carter to Mr. Ira P. Marsh. The bride was beautiful in a becoming suit of light brown tastefully trimmed with ribbon and creme lace. The groom was dignified, in the usual costume. At the appointed hour the groom and bride found their place before a beautiful bower of autumn leaves and flowers, where the ceremony was performed by the bride’s pastor, Rev. J. J. Mitchell of Chester Center, assisted by the uncle of the groom, Rev. H. L. Marsh of Grinnell. The interest of many friends, absent, as well as those present, including those most useful and some very beautiful. The groom has a home just completed in Rock Creek twp, Jasper Co. to which he will take his bride in a few days and they will begin a home which all predict will be full of happiness. Besides the relatives of the groom in Grinnell, there were present, Mrs. Emily Tomlinson and Mrs. T. A. Toland of Tama Co., Miss Lizzie Donahue of Newburg, Messrs.
