Charles Lee and Polly Ann (Thorpe) Davis Family Submitted by Deberah Davis Martinez, great-great-granddaughter Charles Lee and Polly Ann (Thorpe) Davis were early settlers of Crystal Township, Tama County, Iowa. It is my hope that descendants of these children can identify their ancestor from the photos and pass the information on to others. I have been researching this family since 1971 and would certainly be willing to share my findings. Charles Lee Davis b. 27 Aug 1813 Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut and died 3 Mar 1886 in Crystal Township, Tama County, Iowa. He was buried in Crystal Cemetery. His wife, Polly Ann (Thorpe) Davis, was born near Rochester, New York on 8 Feb 1818. She died on 9 Nov 1900, in Crystal Township, Tama County, Iowa and is also buried in Crystal Cemetery. We can't figure out who is who. Here are the names of the children:

Can anyone identify
this old photo?
It was taken by Hudson's Gallery, in Tama. The man
is wearing Indian jewelry, but he looks European
(to me). What is the object in the holster at belt
level? If you can help, please contact RoseMary

I remember seeing this pic from my earliest days and would love to find out who he was - there is also his family who may like to have the picture. |
