Township Section 12 just south of the church. Early plot
records are not available. Some information might be obtained
from church records.
Church
- The Reformed Church commenced 2 October 1882. A 75th
anniversary History was published. There are early roll books
from 1883 that show baptisms, marriages, and memberships.
Histories
- Two NW College students, Alice Wiersma and Joan Huygens,
have written histories of Newkirk for term papers. These can
be found in the Dutch Heritage Room, Ramaker Library at North
Western College in Orange City
