I am searching for information on my grandmother and her mother. My grandmother's name was Elva Fay COFOED. Elva was born in Pipestone, MN 16 Nov 1916. She was placed in the Elim Lutheran Children's Home in Elk Horn, IA by her mother Olga TOWNE, or Olga OVERSHRUDDE on 30 Sept 1919. Elva spent her entire childhood at the home, and may have spent some time in the area after she was released June 1934. On her daughter's birth record, Olga listed her place of birth as Iowa about 1897.
