I have
inserted the residence of the cash sales and the military unit of
the veteran who has sold their land to the other name on the deed.
Sometimes this is through a widow or heirs. Please click on
the link to view the actual patent. All information is from
the Bureau of Land Management, Land
Patent search. Fort Des Moines is
the land office of all these sales and all military warrants were
for service in the War of 1812 or the Florida War. This will be an ongoing
project this year so please refer to the land grants index
