GILMAN RESIDENT DEAD.
Henry C. Ackley Passes Away at Home of Daughter After Long Illness.
Henry C. Ackley, an old and highly respected resident of Gilman, and a veteran of the civil war, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Richardson, four miles north of Gilman. Diabetes, with which he had suffered for a number of years, was the cause of Mr. Ackley's death.
Mr. Ackley was born in West Jersey, Ill., and was 69 years of age. He is survived by four children, Alfred Ackley, of Salem, Ore.; Mrs. George Richardson, of near Gilman, and Mattie and George Ackley, of Gilman. One daughter, Clara Ackley, died about a year ago.
The funeral will be held from the Richardson home Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
