Farmer, S. 22; P.O. Edenville; born March 29, 1834, in Germany; in 1852, came to De Kalb Co., Ill.; in 1860, came to Eden Tp.; owns 550 acres of land, valued at $35 per acre. Married Margaret Halter Feb. 18, 1858; she was born July 15, 1836, in France; they have nine children—George, Rosa, Lewis, Anna, Albert, Leopold, Clara, Martin and Ida. Is School Director and Road Supervisor. Members of the Catholic Church.
