The Recorder's office is located on the second floor of the courthouse. All records are indexed and a copy machine is available. The following information is available.
- Birth records from July 1, 1880 to present.
- Death records from July 1, 1880 to present; parents named after 1930.
- Marriage records from 1845 to present; parents listed by 1899.
- Deeds from 1845 to present
- Affidavits from 1845 to present
- Patents from 1845 to present

The Clerk of Court's office is located on the third floor of the courthouse. Most of the records (1845-present) are indexed and a copy machine is available for public use. Some documents are hard to access because of where they are stored. Examples of available records include:
- Probates
- Guardianship
- Divorces
- Partitions
- Foreclosures
- The Auditor's office has transfers of property from 1864. Not all records are available.
- The Veterans' Affairs office maintains a list of all veterans buried in the county.
