Lane – Gay
Miss Ruby Gay of this city became the bride of William
Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lane living northeast of Oskaloosa, when
they were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at the parsonage of
the First Christian church in Ottumwa.
Rev. Earl Daniels, pastor of the church officiated at
the single ring ceremony. Dale Lappin of Hedrick was a witness.
Mr. Lane is engaged in farming.

Baltimore-Gay
Gay-Dykstra
Earl Baltimore and Miss Josephine Gay, both of near
Beacon, and Clifford Gay of near Bacon and Miss Margaret Dykstra of Bussey
were united in marriage in a double ceremony performed by Rev. J. M. Elam
at his home here at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 12, 1930.
The single ring ceremony was used in the presence of the
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baltimore and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gay, Mrs. Anna
Dykstra and Miss Pauline Eveland also were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Baltimore will make their home on the Frank
Enoch farm near Eveland and Mr. and Mrs. Gay will be at home on the Frank
Gay farm near here.

Gay-Elliott
Miss Vivian Elliott of Oskaloosa and Homer D. Gay of
Rose Hill were married at 1:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, February 14,
1934, at the First Christian church parsonage with Rev. M.H. Williams,
pastor, performing the single ring ceremony. They were accompanied by the
bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Elliott.
The bride was graduated from Oskaloosa high school with
the class of 1929. For the past four years she has been a teacher in the
Mahaska county rural schools. The bridegroom has been engaged in farming.
Immediately following the ceremony the couple left for a
short wedding trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Gay will be at home after March first on a
farm southwest of Oskaloosa.
