JOHN MYRLIE FAMILY

John Myrlie was born July 11, 1899, at Hardanger, Norway. He came to the United States with parents in 1902 at the age of three years. They settled in Hills, Minnesota, where John lived until he married Emma Heyer on September 20, 1928, and then moved to Lester, Iowa.

Emma was born September 23, 1907, at Larchwood, Iowa. She died November 3, 1943, of Hodgkins Disease. John worked for the Great Northern and Rock Island railroads until his death on March 25, 1948, of Bronchial Pneumonia.

John and Emma are the parents of three children: Shirley (Mrs. Lowell Daniels) of Sioux Falls, S.D., who died in June 1973 of cancer; Elaine (Mrs. Don Dolphin) who resides at West Sacramento, Calif.; Roger who lives in Lester, Ia.
