C. C. Chubb says the price of cattle does not improve and that the market is still very low. Hogs have been
bringing good prices though, and a great many farmers have done well this year on them. Last week, R. M.
Gardner, A. Hough, A.D. Barr and J. F. Lacy took a train of 10 car loads of cattle to Chicago. B. Devine
added two cars of hogs. Mr. Gardner says they had a quick trip and that they were well satisfied with what
they got, although of course the market was dull. He was highly pleased with his sale. Mr. Lacy shipped
milch cows.
