Notes from Connie Leaders: The Walker, Wagner, Miller, and Elder families were all in Cambria County, PA before they headed to the Millersburg, Iowa area by 1860-1870. From Millersburg many of them moved into Shelby County, Harrison and Pocahontas counties in Iowa and other places. A few of these photos may be from Pennsylvania and brought into Iowa County. I have identified photos of Anslem Elder, Francis Elder and Jerome Skelley families (These I have not included.) My Anselm Elder was a blacksmith in Millersburg and he married Emma Jane Miller, daughter of Nicholas and Susan Miller.
Connie's is working with her 3rd cousin, Nikki Diebolt, and another cousin, David Elder, in trying to identify these important photos.
