A charter was granted on the 15th day of March in 1870 to Sharon Lodge #287,
by the Grand Lodge of Iowa A.F. and A.M. in an answer to the application
of the following Brothers: R. C. Broughton Worthy Master; J. M. Huston, S.W.;
G.L. Ostrom, J.W.;  J. Elrod, Treas.; J.P. Hunt, Secy.; D.L.Lyon, S.D.;
A. Young, J.D.; S. Boden, Tyler.

Guests present at this meeting were: S. B. Frum--Corinthian Lodge #174 Brooklyn,
Iowa; E. W. Hodges--Iowa City Lodge #4 Iowa City, Iowa; E. P. Hall--Meridian
Lodge #104 Natick, Mass.; J. M. Dawson--Milledgeville Lodge #345 Milledgeville,
Ill.; D. J. Hussey--Cherry Valley Lodge #173 Cherryville, Ill.

The Victor Lodge A.O.U.W.

This Lodge was in 1879 with eighteen charter members, who met on the first
Friday night of each month in Broughton's Hall.

Odd Fellows Lodge

The men's lodge or Odd Fellows Lodge was organized Oct. 20, 1870 by William
W. Moore, Grand Master and William Yaner, Grand Secretary. Fifty-year members
listed are as follows: H.B. Fields, F.C. Kahler, E.J. Norton, Ben McKusker,
H.C. Feana, Walter Sims, Earnest Timble. Members who transferred to Victor
from Francisco Lodge in Ladora were: Andy Siefker, Ben York, Clarence Johnson,
Alfred Primley, H.B. Fields, Frank Dougherty, Williard Coats, R.O. Davis,
H.C. Feana, Arthur Graff, Henry Noyes, Alva Slaymaker, Walter Sims, Robert
Stockton, Pete Clevanger, Arleigh Shepardson, Andy Seifker is the only one
living who transferred from Ladora.

Ruby Rebekah Lodge

Ruby Rebekah was started Dec. 12, 1899. Twenty four members were taken in
on Jan. 4, 1900. Among them were: F. E. Gillespie, Nora A. Gillespie, L.
Liebsohn, Sarah Liebsohn, O. J. Gross, Delia Gross, H.W. Chittenden, Gary
Chittenden, H.S. Lowry, Lois Lowry, H.F. Hanson, Clara Hanson, Emmlie Hanson,
J.E. Hewitt, B.J. Harber, Mae Harber, F.E.Lewis, Hattie A. Lewis, W.E. Ashley,
Mary C. Ashley, L. Cotton, Jennie Cotton, L. Friedman, Lena Friedman.

Francisco Rebekah Lodge of Ladora joined Ruby Rebekah Lodge of Victor on
November 15, 1937. Those members who transferred from Ladora were: Dassie
Baitinger, Elsie Campbell, W. F. Clevenger, Adella Clevenger, Kate York,
Edith Elliott, Alta Gant, Grace Graff, Mary Hawkins, Alice Schultz, Lanie
Johnson, Lucille Lanning, Goldie McKusker, Gladys Noyes, Edna Parham, Nettie
Smith, Tressie Sims, Robert Stockton, Charity Tyler, Frank Dougherty.

Fifty year members of this lodge are: Grace Bricker, Grace Graff, Blanche
Ocheltree, Tressie Sims, Kathryn Fields, Alma Leska, Sadie Holscher. 

Past Grand Circle is a branch of the Rebekah Lodge, organized in 1940, has
30 members and meets once a month at the homes.
