Visitation for Peter Schreiber of Fort Dodge were held Sunday, June 30 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Cremation followed the visitation and family committal services will be held at a later date.

Peter, 71, died Thursday, June 27, 2002 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Peter E. Schreiber was born June 18, 1931 in Kossuth County. He graduated from Vernon High School. He was employed as a hired an on farms and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge, he returned to farming.

In 1954, he married Pauline Grady. In 1958, he began farming on his own near Hardy and Livermore. He moved to Webster County in 1962 and farmed until retiring in 1995. He worked at Chantland’s until 1999.

He enjoyed fishing and raising horses.

He is survived by one son: Lynn of Fort Dodge; three daughters: Susie Walsh of Clare, Sherry Gonder of Cresco, and Sandy Larson of Jefferson; and 11 grandchildren.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and four sisters.
