Randall, Richard G. "Glen" 1927 - 2002HARLINGEN, TX - Richard G. (Glenn) Randall, 75, Harlingen, TX, formerly of Kaneville, IL, died Monday, Dec. 2,2002 following extensive cardiac surgery. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 7 at Conley Funeral Home, Elburn, IL. Interment was at River Hills Cemetery, Batavia, IL. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Conley Funeral Home, Elburn, IL. Richard was born Jan. 12, 1927 in New Hampton, the son of James and Ethel (Funk) Randall. He grew up in New Hampton and enlisted in the Navy at the age of 16, where he served during WWII and continued to be active in the Navy Reserve following his discharge in 1946. On Sept. 26, 1953 he was united in marriage to Barbara Berndt. He started Randall Plumbing in JB.atayJa, IL in the early 1970's, retiring in the late 90s when he moved to Harlingen, TX following his wife's death. Richard was a jack-of-all trades and could fix anything and loved camping. He was a member of the Batavia Moose Lodge. Survivors include seven children, Linda Randall May, Aurora, IL, Sharon Randall, Kaneville, IL Dennis (Vicki) Randall, Batavia, IL, Scott (Cindy) Randall, Cynthia (Paul) Niles, Brad (Marge) Randall and Steven (Marty) Randall, all of Kaneville, IL; nine grandchildren; his stepmother, Eva Mae Randall, New Hampton; eight siblings, Leonard "Bud" (Jean) Randall, Joyce (Russell) Reeves, Jay (Doris) Randall, Stan (Jean) Randall, Patricia Wiltse, Jerry Randall, Rodney (Pat) Randall, all of Iowa and Dale (Geri) Randall, Illinois; many nieces and nephews and his dear friend, Isabel Gould, Harlingen, TX. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Barbara, in 1994; one son, Donald Randall, in 1991; one granddaughter, Jennifer Randall, in infancy and one brother, Albert Randall.
