Services were held for Thomas Shanahan Perzynski on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Eyota, Minnesota, with the Rev. David Young officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota.

Thomas Perzynski, 21, of Eyota, formerly of Rochester, Minnesota died Friday, February 8, 2002 as the result of a car accident in Rochester.

Perzynski was born September 12, 1980 in Rochester, he attended Rochester elementary schools and moved to the Dover-Eyota area 10 years ago. He was a 1999 graduate of Dover-Eyota High School. He was selected all-conference in football and basketball, and participated in football and track at the state level. At the time of his death, he was a student in the physical education program at Rochester Community and Technical College. He enjoyed music.

Survivors include his father, Theodore Perzynski of Eyota; his mother, Cynthia Perzynski of Austin, Minnesota; his stepmother. Kelly Perzynski of Oronoco, Minnesota; two sisters, Stacy and Elizabeth Perzynski both of Eyota; a brother, T. J. of Eyota; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, * Elizabeth and Edward Perzynski of Riceville, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Patricia Shanahan of Austin, Minnesota; and a paternal great-grandmother, Monica Mrozek of Little Falls, Minnesota as well as friends from the LeRoy, Minnesota and Riceville, Iowa areas.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, maternal grandfather and other great-grandparents.
