Services were held for Pauline Michels on Wednesday, December 19, at the Sacred Heart Church, Meyer, Iowa with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Joseph Schneider officiated the services.

Pauline Michels, 98, passed away Sunday, December 16., at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

Michels was born on July 16, 1903 to Martin and Teresia Meyer Werner at Meyer, Iowa. On January 26, 1928, Pauline was united in marriage to Leo J. Michels from Stacyville. They resided in Milwaukee, Wise, before moving to the Meyer area where they farmed for many years. In 1959, they retired to Rochester, Minn. She enjoyed family visiting, quilting, gardening, reading and volunteer work.

She is survived by seven children: sons, Leo of Des Moines, Iowa and Robert (Betty) of Sauk Center, Minn, and five daughters, E Joan (John) Hemann of Lime Springs, Iowa; Ann (Tom) Marsolek of Lakewood, Colo.; Rose (Dale) Bock of Des Moines, Iowa; Germaine of Marina, Calif, and Jeanette Brandt of Northfield, Minn. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband and all her brothers and sisters.
