Koenigsfeld, Monique (Laine) 1937 - 2002NEW HAMPTON - Monique M. Koenigsfeld, 64, New Hampton died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at the New Hampton Care Center of cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia with Rev. John Hemann celebrating the Mass. The pall was placed by her three children. Lector for the service was Florence Tilkes. Loretta Koenigsfeld was the organist accompanying the choir singing "How Great Thou Art", 'vBe Not Afraid", "Amazing Grace" and "Here I Am Lord . Gift Bearers for the Mass were grandchildren Lee and Lynn Koenigsfeld. Grandchildren Brady and Laura Rausch were the^ Mass Servers. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Francis Koenigsfeld, Jim Rahlf, Scott McGregor, Tim Rausch, Dan Rausch and Norb Koenigsfeld.. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Jar).; 20 at Hugeoack * Funeral Home, New Hampton where there was a 7 p.m. Rosary and 7:30 p.m. Video Memorial Tribute. Further visitation was one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Monique was born in Nancy, France on Feb. 18, 1937, the daughter of Camille Georges and Eugenia Marie Laine. She received her education in France. In 1961, Monique moved to the United States living in several areas of the country. In 1972, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia, she married Francis Koenigsfeld. The couple initially lived south of Ionia and moved to Lawler in 1995. They were later divorced. Monique had worked at Sara Lee and more recently at AMPI in Fredericksburg. Monique enjoyed embroidering, knitting, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include two daughters, Corinne (Tim) Rausch, Ionia, Tina (Jim) Rahlf, Lime Springs; one son, Robert (Janelle) Koenigsfeld, Hudson; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Bernard Laine, Jean-Pierre Laine and Camille Darville, all of France; two sisters Yolande Laine and Fran-ciose Darville, both of France and five step-brothers and step-sisters,. all of France. Preceding her in death was one son, Donny Koenigsfeld, in 1974. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa if so desired.
