Hartman, Theresa M. nee Marion 1907 - 2002IONIA -- Theresa M. Hartman, 95, Ionia, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Hampton of natural causes. Private Family Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Ionia Funeral Home, Ionia with Reverend John Hemann officiating. Loretta Koenigsfeld will be the organist. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery with Brian Finnegan, Jr., Salinas, Bruce Kellogg, Norbert Jenn, James Finnegan and Pat McGowan serving as casket bearers. Visitation will not be held. Theresa Mary Hartman was born Oct. 18, 1907 near Ionia, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Herman) Marion. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia. She attended grade school at a one-room school-house near her parents' home aorth of Ionia and then attended St. Boniface High School, Ionia. She was united n marriage to A1 Hartman in Las Vegas, NV. Following :heir marriage the couple lived in many different places, going where Al's work took them. They later divorced, and she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked as a clerk in a department store for about 20 years. After her retirement, she moved back to Ionia to take care of her brother Alie. She was currently a resident of New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia. She loved her cats, dogs, raising chickens and telling stories about the places she had lived. Survivors include four nieces; great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Alie Marion and a sister, Emma Marion.
