NEOSHO, MO -- Josephine Marie Fliger, 84, died of cancer at the Gran Villas, Neosho, MO.

A Private Memorial Service was held at the Gran Villas, Neosho, MO.

Internment of cremains will be held at another time in New Hampton.

Josephine was born on May 26, 1918 in New Hampton, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Leicntman. She was a graduate of New Hampton High School and the University of Northern Iowa. Other continued studies were Rhodes of New York and the University of New Mexico. She taught at the high school level. After moving to Rogers, AR, she became a successful realtor. She was active in many art, civic and gardening organizations. She never lost her joy for teaching or learning and had a great passion for gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Marcia M. Kasis-chke, Neosho, MO; two grandsons and their wives; one step-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Alden Leichtman; a sister, Loreen Heusmann and her husbands, Leo F. Honkomp and Louis Fliger.
