Funeral services for Sam Caldemeyer, Sr. of Marion were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Janauary 26 at First Church of the Open Bible in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. Interment was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.. Murdoch Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Sam, 63, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at his home, from complications of cancer.

Sam R. Caldemeyer was born June 1, 1938, the son of James and June (Postin) Caldemeyer in Pike County, IN. He^: moved to Marion in 1961.

On December 29, 1962 he married "Galina Egorenko. In 1974,. Sam and Galina founded Caldemeyer Car Clean in Marion.

He is survived by his wife Galina of Marion; one son: Sam of Scottsdale, AZ; his mother: June Caldemeyer of Gladewater, TX; three brothers and three sisters.

Sam was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
