Boveia, Marian nee Pelland nee Hoglund 1922 - 2002NASHUA — Marian Boveia, formerly of Nashua, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Lantern Park Nursing Home, Coralville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 1 p.m. at Chenoweth & Son FuneralHome, Nashua. Burial will be in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Marian was born Aug. 24, 1922 in International Falls MN, the daughter of Sigfurd and Agnes (Brolin) Hoglund. She attended schools in International Falls. She married George E. Pelland on Jan. 2, 1938. He was killed in Germany in 1945 during WWII. She later married Clyde J. Boveia on July 2, 1947 in Harmony, MN. Survivors include two sons, Earl Pelland, Coralville and Dennis Pelland, Iowa City; one daughter, Pamela Alt, Coralville; one step-son, Gary Boveia, Waverly; one stepdaughter, Myrna Uhlenhopp, Clarksville; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Hoglund, Portland, OR and one sister, Bernice Plasky, Ft. Frances, Ontario. Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, George E. Pelland, in April of 1945; her second husband, Clyde J. Boveia, on Jan. 16, 1995; a son, Dale; and three sisters, Ethel Sjoblom, Lillian Sjoblom and Elaine (Babe) Wiseman.
