Bouska, Clifford H. 1924 - 2002WAUCOMA - Clifford H. Bouska, 77, died Friday, May 24, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN of heart failure. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, May 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma with Rev. Marvin Salz as Celebrant. Lector was John Wunder. Music was provided by Mary Dietzenbacn as organist accompanying Travis Bouska and Jonathan Wunder.Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery with Jonathan Wunder, Jeremy Bouska, Nathan Franzen, Travis Bouska, Justin Bouska, Ryan Franzen and Jason Bouska as casket bearers. Visitation was held Monday, May 27 with a 5 p.m. Rosary Society and C D of A Rosary and a 7:30 p.m. Scripture Service at Waucoma Funeral Chapel. Clifford Henry Bouska was born Aug. 30, 1924, the son of Julius Michael and Mayme (Schlichte) Bouska at the family home near Waucoma. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Waucoma and graduated from Alpha High School in 1941. He worked on the family farm until he entered the United States Army in 1945 where he served for two years. On April 28, 1948 he was united in marriage to Arlene Hackman. They farmed three miles south of Waucoma for 38 years. They retired to their current home in Waucoma in 1986. Clifford was a member of the American Legion Post #189 in Waucoma where he held various offices over the years. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends, watching sports on TV, dancing and working in his workshop. Survivors include his , wife, Arlene; eight children, Jean (Ronald L.) Franzen, Ft. Atkinson, Joan (Duane L.) Franzen, La Porte City, Gary (Sue) Bouska, New Hampton, Alan (Jan) Bouska, Mason City, Ann (John) Wunder, Muscatine, Denise (Jim) Ryant, Calmar, David (Sue) Bouska, Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV and Paul (Amy) Bouska, Iowa City; four brothers, John (Rosemary) Bouska, Hawkeye, LaVerne (Alberta) Bouska, Lawler, Joe Bouska, Charles City and Cletus (Lorna) Bouska, Waucoma; four sisters, Arlene Vrzak, Waucoma, Donna (Leonard) Hrdlicka, Cresco, Vera Rimrodt, Alta Vista and Irma (Bob) Kime, Fayette; 26 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Kay, in 1952; one brother, James; two brothers-in-law, Frank Vrzak and Don Rimrodt and one sister-in-law, Jean Bouska.
