Anderson, Chayton H. 2000 - 2002WINTHROP, MN -- Chayton Hunter "The Fighter" Anderson a.k.a. "Mowgli or Smiley", 21 months, Winthrop, MN, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002 at his home. Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at Peace Lutheran Church, Winthrop, MN. Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements. A Celebration of Chayton's Life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Bradford Twp, Chickasaw Co., MN.t Visitation will be two hours prior to the time of services at the church on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Chayton Hunter Anderson was born May 12, 2000 at the Anderson Hutchinson Community Hospital, the son of Darrell and Dawn (Kraft) Anderson. He was baptized on July 15, 2000 by Rev. Carol J. Christianson at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton. Chayton was diagnosed with a Rhabdiod tumor on July 18, 2001. He had his resection surgery at Children's Hospital, Minneapolis on July 25, 2001. Following the recurrence of the tumor in September, Chayton and his parents went to Houston, TX for | additional treatment in Nov., 2001. He came home to Winthrop, MN, where he continued to fight. Chayton loved his family with all his heart and his puppies, named "Puppy" and "Auby". He had fun playing ball and pretending to be a dinosaur. Survivors include his . parents,. Darrell and Dawn t Anderson, Winthrop, MN; siblings, Nicole Anderson, Lafayette, MN, Ashley Anderson and Gatlin Kraft-Anderson, Winthrop, MN; paternal grandparents, Willard and Rosemary Anderson, Gaylord, MN; maternal grandparents, Glen and Sharon K. Vander Kolk, Waverly and Ken and Lorie Kraft, Ionia; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Munson, Lawler and numerous aunts and uncles. Preceding him in death were several of his great-grandparents.
