FREDERICKSBURG -- Portia M. Moon, 59, Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001 at her home. Cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.

Funeral services were 2 pm. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Hillcrest Baptist & Brethren Church in Fredericksburg.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.,

Visitation was from 5-9 Tuesday, .Dec. 25 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Fredericksburg and also for one hour at the church prior to services.

Portia was born Feb. 2, 1942 in Waterloo, the daughter of Francis and Jennie (Hansen) Goodwin. She was a 1961 graduate of Fredericksburg High school. On Sept. 16, 1963, she married Clifford Moon Jr. in Waterloo. She was employed at Meinerz Creamery and Linda's Lunch in Fredericksburg.

Surviving are her husband, Clifford, Fredericksburg; two daughters, Portia (Greg) Stone, Fredericksburg and Madena (Brad) Burman, Stout; two granddaughters; one sister, Ramona (David) Roeder, Fredericksburg; one brother, Larry (Audrey) Goodwin, Fredericksburg; five nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
