Huber, Hilda B. nee Winter 1921 - 2001LAWLER - Hilda B. Huber, 80, Lawler, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at the New Hampton Care Center, New Hampton of natural causes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler with Rev. Marvin Salz as celebrant. The all will be placed on the cas-et by her two brothers. Lector for the service will be Jennifer Winter. Offertory gifts will be presented by Donna Erickson and Jean Hover. Eucharistic Minister is Janel Kuennen. Interment will be in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Jeff Erickson, Jim Winter, Larry Lechtenberg, Joe Uhlenhake, Richard Huber and Gary Kuennen as pallbearers. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Hugeback Funeral Home, Lawler, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of America Rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture Service. Hilda was born Jan. 12, 1921 near St. Lucas, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Kuehner) Winter. She attended St. Luke's School, St. Lucas. On May 15, 1945 she married Henry Huber at St. Luke's Catholic Church, St. Lucas. Together the couple farmed three miles north of Lawler from the time of their marriage until 1982, at which time they moved into Lawler. On Sept. 1, 1996, Hilda became a resident of the New Hampton Care Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America - Court Mt. Carmel. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Survivors include two brothers, Nick (Germaine) Winter and Florian (Eileen) Winter, both of St. Lucas and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Henry, in 1993.
