TRASK, Ruth Lucille nee BOGGESS 1911 - 2001CHARLES CITY - Ruth Trask, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 in the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1:30 .m. at the Trinity Methodist hurch, Charles City. The Rev. Diane Mitchell, Associate Pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Sunnyside Memory Gardens. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at the Hauser Funeral Home. Visitation was also Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service at the church. Ruth Lucille Boggess Trask was born March 24, 1911 in Charles City, the daughter of J. Frank and Alta Mae (Briggs) Boggess. She received her education in the No. 9 Deerfield School and on Nov. 2, 1929 she was married to Leonard M. Trask in Charles City. They farmed northwest of Bassett. Ruth, was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Churcn, the Women of the Moose, the FCNB Heritage Club and the Bassett Royal Neighbors. She loved to dance, play cards, work at the gift shop and give tours at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and make Sunday dinners for her family. Survivors include two daughters, Lois (Bill) Wink-elman, Ionia and Doris (Duane) Lynch, Charles City; three sons, Lester (Madonna) Trask, Charles City, Vernon (Connie) Trask, Waverly and Stanley (Mary Ann) Trask, New Hampton; 16 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Ashley and Frances Sebastian, both of Charles City. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, four brothers and, four sisters. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa, Charles City Satellite.
