SCHRAM, Elizabeth "Beth" nee FLANSCHE nee VanBOGART 1908 - 2001HAWKEYE — Elizabeth cSchram, 93, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center, High West Union after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Peace United Church of Christ, Fredericksburg with Pastor Joan Fumetti and Pastor Roger White presiding. Organist was Yvonne Lienau and ianist was Shelley Mohling. soloist was Keith Kreun. Special music was “There's Something About That Name", "His Hand In Mine" and "Thy Will Be Done". Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg with Richard Johnson, Ron Knutson, Richard Weidemann, Jack Schult, Bill Elliott and Glen Boie as casket bearers. Flower Committee was Diane Johnson, Sondra Elliott and Marcia Schult. Visitation was from 5 to 8 .m. Monday, Oct. 22 at ecker-Milnes Funeral Home, Hawkeye, and for one hour preceding services at the church on Tuesday. Elizabeth "Beth" was born Aug. 5, 1908 in Hawkeye, the daughter of Frank and Charlotte "Lottie" (Fish) Van Bogart. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran church Sumner Beth attended Bethel Township Country School and Hawkeye High School. She was united in marriage with Art Flansche. They later divorced. Beth then married Oliver Schram on Aug. 10, 1972 at his farm north of Hawkeye. Prior to her marriage to Oliver, Beth worked at the Sunrise Guest Home and Meinerz Creamery in Fredericksburg. She was a member of the Hawkeye United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid and the Hawkeye Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, arranging flowers and baking and watching sports. Survivors include one son, Robert "Butch" (Susan) Flansche, New Hampton; four daughters, Maxine (Ward) Kuhlman, Howell, MI, Jean (Larry) Whiteford, Sparks, NV, Helen (Gary) Schulz and Faye (Terry) Elliott, Fredericksburg; one daughter-in-law, Mildred Clark; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; two sisters-in-law, Mavis Van Bogart, Apache Junction, AZ and Blythe Van Bogart, Hawkeye and Oliver's extended family. Preceding her in death were her husbands; one son, Howard Flansche, in 1961; two daughters, Betty Flansche, in infancy and Lucy Leyh, in 1981; five brothers, Lionel, Alonzo, Charles, Ervin and Bernel Van Bogart and three sisters, Rhea Van Bogart, Olive Mayo and Mignon Martin.
