Visitation for 56 year old Steven A. Satern of Columbus Junction, iowa was Friday, Feb. 23, 2001 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Columbus Junction, Iowa. No funeral services were held. Steve died suddenly at home of an apparent heart attack. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date.

Steven Alan Satern was born March 10, 1944 in Moline, IL. to Maynard and Wilma Torgerson Satern. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Leibfried, May 1, 1965 in Spring Valley, Minn.

Steve had worked as a machine operator at Rexam Release Company, Iowa City, Iowa since October of 1985. Steve liked to restore automobiles and in the past had liked to hunt.

Steve is survived by his wife, Betty, Columbus Junction, two daughters, Sheila Jones and her husband Brian, Columbus Junction, Daphne Buser and her husband, Jamey, Conesville; five grandchildren, Jacob, Sam, Steven Jones, Tiffany and Cody Buser. Also surviving are his parents, Maynard and Wilma Satern of Riceville, Iowa; a brother, Gary Satern, and his wife Loretta, Mason City, Iowa and a sipter Kathy Runde, La Plato, Missouri.

|Steve was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Satern Anderson.
