OLSON, Margaret Ann nee CARBERRY 1923 - 2001NEW HAMPTON - Margaret Olson, 77, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton with Reverend David Bergstrom officiating. Dennis Strum will be the organist. Organ selections will be "Eternal Father, Strong To Save:, "Children Of The Heavenly Father" and "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go". Inurnment will be at a later date in the New Hampton Cemetery. Honorary casket bearers will be Nan Feuling, Ray Brannon, Don and Ella Mae Rankin, Linus and Madonna Flick, Bill Prouty, Boh and Helen Peterson and Wayne and Jane 'Sander. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m.Thursday Feb. 1 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton. Margaret Ann Olson was born Nov. 30, 1923 in Cylinder, the daughter of John W. and Cora (Richardson) Carberry. She graduated from Cylinder High School and attended Emmetsburg Junior College and Hamilton School of Business in Mason City. She worked in the Motor Vehicle Department, Des Moines and the Alumni Office, Ames before her marriage to Dr. A.T. Olson on Jan. 16, 1944 in Emmetsburg. Following their marriage, the couple resided in St. Cloud, MN, Nashua and Ringsted bfore moving to. New Hampton in 1946. She worked with her husband at their New Hampton Veterinary Clinic as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Olaf's Lutheran Church, now Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and she was active in the New Hampton Art Club. She enjoyed collecting antiques with her husband, writing and painting. Survivors include one son, Arden (Susanne) Olson, Olathe, KS; one daughter, Sue Olson, New Hampton; two grandsons; one sister and two brothers. Preceding her in death were her parents, step-mother, and husband, Dr. A.T. Olson, in 1994.
