Eva M. Nargang, 78, of New Hampton, died Monday, March 26, 2001 at the Colonial Manor in Elma of natural causes.

A private family inurnment was held on Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with Conway Funeral Home of Elma helping with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Colonial Manor in Elma or Hospice of North Iowa.

Eva Mary Nargang was born April 5,1922 in Riceville, the daughter of Charles James and Myrtle (Patterson) Koehler. She attended school in Riceville. She resided in Texas for 25 years. In 1975 she returned to Iowa and resided in New Hampton. She was united in marriage to Ed Nargang on December 21,1978. She worked as a nurse’s aid at the Health Care Manor, How the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She is survived by: three daughters, Paula Richardson of Richmond, Tex., Roberta Stanwood of Houston, Tex., and Linda Sheridan of Marion, Iowa; one son, Thomas Smith of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Walter Koehler of Toano, Virg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Nargang; one daughter, Arlene Holschlag; and two brothers.
