MYERS, Florence A. nee CLINE 1917 - 2001IONIA -- Florence A. Myers, 83, formerly of Ionia, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001 at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia with Rev. John Hemann and Msgr. Stanley Hayek officiating. Music was provided by Loretta Koenigsfela as organist accompanying the St. Boniface Churcn Choir. Interment was in St. Boniface Cemetery, Ionia with Mark Ott, Lester Ott, Mike Testroet, Ron Davis, Jim Davis and Dennis Bucknell serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers were Ransom Bouillon and Cletus Bucknell. Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 with a 5 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. prayer service. Florence was born Aug. 18, 1917, the daughter of Leroy and Margaret (Fox) Cline in Wadena. She graduated from Wadena High School in 1935. She was united in marriage to Clarence O. Myers in 1938 in Waucoma. The couple resided in the Ionia and Bassett area until 1960 when Florence moved to Charles City. She enjoyed bingo, chuck wagon races, being a foster grandparent and spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Dave) Bucknell, Ionia; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Grace Davis, West Union, Margaret Gibson, Hazelton and Virginia Zahn, Cedar Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clarence, in 1971 and two brothers.
