FAIRBANK - Agnes M. Meaney, 97, Fairbank, died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at the Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center in Waterloo of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with Rev. Kenneth Stecher presiding.

Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank.

Visitation is Sunday, July 1 from 2:30-8 p.m. at the Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank, with a Parish Rosary at 3 pm and Scripture Service at 7 p.m.

Agnes Mary Meaney was born July 18, 1903 at Fairbank, the daughter of Owen Patrick and Sarah Alice (Woods) Shannon. She married Martin Meaney on March 4, 1930 at Immaculate Conception Church, Fairbank. Mrs. Meaney was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Fairbank.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Kriener, Fredericksburg; two sons, Howard (Janet) Meaney, Oelwein and Leonard Meaney, Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 12 grea t-grand children.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Martin in 1964; a son-in-law, Henry Kriener; eight brothers, John, Michael, Edgar, Paul, Gilbert, Matthew,Joseph and Vincent; three sisters, Blanch Kane, Catherne Meaney and Edith Hausler.
