CHARLES CITY - Jack R. McClure, 44, West Palm Beach, FL and formerly of Charles City, died Friday, April 13, 2001 from complications due to a car accident in March 1985.

Services will be held at a later date. The body was cremated.

Jack R. McClure was born Nov. 30, 1956 in Kentucky, the son of Charles and Lena McClure. The family later moved to Iowa. He attended the Charles City Schools, graduating in 1975. Jack attended NIACC in Mason City, Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge and Iowa State University, Ames. He then moved to Florida to continue his education to become a music teacher.

Surviving are his mother, Lena Bluhm, New Hampton; one brother, Chuck (Denise) McClure, Afascadero, CA; one sister, Mona Kellogg, New Hampton; one stepsister, Kim Davidson, two stepbrothers, Tim (Monica) Bluhm and Jim (Julie) Bluhm, Charles City; 15 nieces and nephews; several aunts one uncle.

Preceding him in death were his stepfather, Jim Bluhm in March 1976; one brother, Larry Dale McClure in January 1954; one nephew, Stephen Davidson in December 1992.
