Services held for John Kirchhoff, 74

Funeral services for John Kirchhoff of Riceville were held on Friday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in rural Elma. Rev. Myrwood Bagne officiated. Interment was in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Riceville. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

John, 74, died Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

John Kirchhoff was born July 15, 1926 in Rockwell, the son of Conrad and Kate (Campen) Kirchhoff.

On January 18, 1954 he married Aileen Williams in Austin, MN. John served in the Marines during World War II. He was a retired farmer.    j

Survivors include his wife Aileen of Riceville; one son: Marlen of Oronoco, MN; one daughter: Lori Ellingson of Osage; six grandchildren; and one brother: Clarence of Rockwell and three sisters: Anna Kirchhoff and Gretchen Moele both of Sheffield and Christine Foell of Rockwell.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Gertrude Sampson and Jennie Henderson.
