ELMA — Florence C. Kinney, 86, Loma Linda, CA, died Monday, April 9, 2001 at the Sun Bridge Care Center, Grand Terrace, CA of natural causes.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 16 at Calvary Cemetery in Elma.

Florence Catherine Marr was born Oct. 5,1914 in Waseca, MN, the daughter of James Edward and Elizabeth Sarah (Murphy) Marr. Florence grew up in Iowa, graduating from Mason City High School. She enjoyed barn dances, where she metTier husband. She married Stephen Edward Kinney in 1949 in Waterloo. Following their marriage, the couple moved to San Bernardino, CA where they raised chickens on a ranch for 18 years. They moved to Hemet, CA in 1980 where they lived for 20 years and attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. The couple has lived in Loma Linda for the past year. Florence enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.

Surviving are ner husband, Stephen, Loma Linda, CA; one daughter, Susan (Steve) Kelly, Redlands, CA; one son, Larry (Cindy), Hemet, CA; four grandsons.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Joseph Marr; two sisters, Winifred Mary Marr and Mary Maude "Bessie" Womack.

Conway Funeral Home, Elma, is in charge of arrangements.
