WAUCOMA - John T. Kelly, 83, Waucoma, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, after a brief illness.

A Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma with Rev. Marvin Salz presiding.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Waucoma. Pallbearers were Richard Balk, Carl Kriener, Tom Achen, Greg Kriener, Gene Schmitt and Jack Lynch. Honorary pallbearers were Patricia Lynch and Matt Lynch. Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel with a 5:30 p.m. Parish Rosary and 7:30 p.m. Scripture Wake Service.

John Tnomas Kelly, was born Sept. 12,1917 in Waucoma, the son of John T. and Genevieve (Heatherton) Kelly. He attended Waucoma High School. John lived all of his life in the Waucoma area where he farmed for 65 years. He was also a construction worker.

Survivors include his two sisters, Madeline (Mrs. Carl) Franzen, New Hampton and Anna Nelson, Blooming Prairie, MN; nieces and nephews including Eileen Bahlman, Frederika and Leona Kobliska, Alta Vista and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Mildred Woodson and Madonna Kacher and a nephew, David Franzen.
